Beat the Heat

Posted by Labels: at
Summer is here so let's beat the heat wave with some tips to stay cool when the temperature soars.

  1.      Use Spray Bottle: Whenever the heat gets to you, reach for your water spray and cool down with the refreshing spritz of chilled water.
  2.      Drink Water: Drink plenty of water to survive the heat wave. You can add few spring of mint to water.
  3.      Stop Fanning: Fanning actually requires energy and will make you feel hotter. Instead, relax and avoid moving around.
  4.      Avoid Alcohol: Alcohol tends to cause dehydration. Stick to flavored water and fresh fruit juices to stay hydrated.
  5.      Enjoy Spicy Meal: The component capsaicin in chillies and peppers increases perspiration. This in turn cools your body
  6.      Take A cool Shower: Soak yourself in a bath tub or have a shower with cold water. It’s also a great way to relax.
  7.      Use Wet Sheets: hang wet sheets on windows since wind blowing from the outside passes through the wet sheets and creates a cooling effect.
  8.      Cool your Pulse points: Wrap ice cubes in a hand towel and individually place them on body's quickest cooling points like the wrist, neck, knees and inner elbows.
  9.      Change your lightning: Switch to fluorescent or LED bulbs that emit less energy and heat.
 10.  Holiday Time: Yes, to beat the stress and the heat of summer, you can plan for holiday by heading nearest hill station with your family and friends.

Which Elephants have 4 Teeth

Posted by Labels: at

African Elephants have four molars; each weighs about 5 kg (11 lb) and measures about 30 cm (12 in) long. As the front pair wears down and drops out in pieces, the back pair shifts forward, and two new molars emerge in the back of the mouth. Elephants replace their teeth six times. At about 40 to 60 years of age, the elephant no longer has teeth and will likely die of starvation, a common cause of death.
