In India, Engineer's day is celebrated on September 15. This day is celebrated in the honor of Sir Mokshagundam Vishveshvarayya(1861-1962)
On His Birthday. For his contribution to engineering field he was awarded the Indian public's highest honour , the Bharat Ratna, in 1955 along with Mr Bhagwan Das(1869–1958),Independence activist, author and Mr Jawaharlal Nehru(1889–1964),first Prime Minister of India.
